Guess what? We made it to day 4 of school before someone got strep! Ugh! Here is what has helped me this time around.
They make amoxicillin taste so good. I’m tempted to ask for the liquid bubble gum flavor as an adult, when I’m sick. So I understand my children’s dilemma when the see their sibling getting it and they cannot have it. So they get juice in a syringe. Or if I’m out of juice, milk with strawberry syrup in a syringe. The milk/strawberry syrup looks so similar. It’s surprising that this works as well as it does!
After I made this, I found juice in our pantry, so I made a slushie with juice instead of kool aid syrup this time. I ended up using
-1 cup cherry juice
-2 cups ice
and I get “thanks mom, it’s as good as pop. thanks 10,000 times”. They seemed to like this juice as much as the kool aid syrup version.
Hope your families are all staying healthy!

And the greatest gift a mother can give her children is to love their dad. I just read an article, “Innocent Encounter, Dangerous Direction” in the Thriving Family magazine (which is great by the way!) I strongly encourage you to read the article for yourself, HERE. I’m so tired of the brokenness that happens too often in families.
I found an umbrella I need this for this summer! It clips onto camping chairs in particular. This would come in handy at sporting event this summer, parades, the beach and of course camping! For $19.99, I think I may suggest it for myself for Mother’s Day!
What do you do with all the Valentine’s cards your kids received from V-Day? I had been trying to sneak them in the trash until I saw the idea to turn them into a place mat online. It was a big hit! I may also turn the kids National Geographic Animal Cards into place mats. I used the last of my very smushed contact paper so it was less than perfect, but just fine for what it was. In case you were wondering, contact paper is located in next to the dish section for lining the inside of cupboards.
