I’m on a huge baked potato kick lately. Twice baked potatoes are just the best.
This little craft may keep the kids occupied for a bit. Maybe long enough to get a supper together if your lucky. You will need 2 pieces of paper of different colors. Cut them out like the picture above on top of one another so they are the same. Start weaving together and let the kids finish it to proudly display on the fridge.
This is my feeble attempt to not waste food. These apples were sliced and not eaten by the kids and had started to discolor a little. There wasn’t much browning because I had gotten them in water/lime juice this time so I cut up and mixed them up with some cool whip. I would have put snickers in it, if we had them! They really enjoyed this treat. I need to always make sure I put the kids uneaten apples in water with a squirt of lime from those green plastic lime bottles. Then they are ready to add to a chicken salad, salad or even just eat with cool whip again.
Do you have any tips to share that help reduce your family’s food waste?

What do you do on cold winter days? We eat ice cream apparently.
We are anticipating March and all things green.
My youngest has been sick again. Today I made him “green ice cream” because his favorite color is green. This made for a fun treat today that I enjoyed as well. I have great memories of my mom making this for me when I was a kid.
Wesley gave it 2 thumbs up. I was happy to see him smile.
Green ice cream
-3 Tbs nestle malt
-2 big scoops of ice cream (or more)
-3/4 cup milk (or more)
-2 Tbs creme de menthe
Blend. Taste and add more ice cream or milk, mint to your preference depending on how thin or thick you like it and how strong you like your mint flavor.
Oh the deliciousness.
